Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon Wins 3rd Prize in Best Performance Award for Hotel Operations (FDI) – 2019
Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon is delighted to announce that we recently received 3rd prize in the “Best Performance Award for Hotel Operations (FDI)” for 2019 from the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.
The award was presented by the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism of Myanmar at the World Tourism Day Event at Myanmar International Convention Center-2, Nay Pyi Taw on 27th September 2019. The award criteria was based on the classification of FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) of hotels in Myanmar as per their star rating, TripAdvisor ranking, occupancy percentage for the year, spending points on CSR program as a percentage of revenue and PWDs as a percentage of PERM employees in the hotel. Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon has been awarded the Best Performance FDI Hotel Award for five consecutive years from 2015 to 2019.
Ms. May Myat Mon Win, General Manager of Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon, remarked that “I’m very proud to have received this award for five consecutive years from 2015 to 2019. As the industry trend is changing with regard to customer expectations and purchasing style, it really was a challenging period for us. ABOUT THE BEST PERFORMANCE AWARD
This is the official award given by the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism (Myanmar Government) and is the highest award in the Myanmar Hotels & Tourism industry. This award is given annually during the World Tourism Day ceremony organized by the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism. This year the ceremony was on 27th September 2019 and held in Naypyitaw City (the capital city of Myanmar). State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and The Vice-President of Myanmar H.E Henry Van Thio attended the ceremony. There are 5-categories in The Best Performance Awards, including: 1: The Best Performance Awards for Local Hotels, 2: The Best Performance Awards for FDI Hotels, 3: The Best Performance Awards for Local Tour Companies, 4: The Best Performance Awards for FDI Tour Companies and 5: The Best Performance Awards for Caravan Tours.
