Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon Wins Double Honours at ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024
Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon celebrates double honours after receiving two prestigious awards at the recently concluded 40th ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2024 in Vientiane, Laos. The hotel was recognised for its commitment to sustainability and excellence in meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) with the “ASEAN Green Hotel Standard 2024-2026” and “ASEAN MICE Avenue Standard (Category Event Venue) 2024-2026” awards, respectively.
The 42nd ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2024, which ran from January 16 to 22, was held under the theme “Quality and Responsible Tourism Sustaining ASEAN Future.”
The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) is a cooperative regional effort to promote the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as one tourist destination. This annual event involves all of the tourism industry sectors of the 10 member states of ASEAN: Brunei-Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam and is hosted in rotation by member countries to promote tourism to regional and international visitors. As part of the main event, the ASEAN Tourism Awards honour localities and units with high-quality tourism products and services, contributing to the sustainable development of the region’s tourism destinations.
